Samsung Begins Second Half Recruitment Process to Create Jobs and Opportunities for Future Generations
20 Affiliates Including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, and Samsung Electro-Mechanics Participate
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] Twenty Samsung affiliates, including Samsung Electronics and Samsung Display, have launched their second half new employee recruitment starting from the 6th. Samsung announced a plan to expand the scale of recruitment from this year, aiming to hire 80,000 new employees over five years to realize the talent acquisition commitment of Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Lee Jae-yong.
On the 6th, Samsung began the recruitment process for the second half to create employment and opportunities for future generations. Samsung will accept applications for each affiliate through the Samsung Careers website until the 14th. This month, document screening and job suitability tests will be conducted, followed by the Samsung Aptitude Test (GSAT) in October and interviews in November. GSAT will be conducted online considering safety.
Samsung stated that through this recruitment, it intends to fulfill Vice Chairman Lee’s promise to create youth jobs while securing outstanding talent to contribute to enhancing the future competitiveness of the company and the nation. Samsung has hired 40,000 new employees over the past three years. From this year, it plans to expand recruitment to hire a total of 80,000 new employees over five years.
Since introducing open recruitment for the first time among domestic companies in 1957, Samsung remains the only one among the top five conglomerates to operate a biannual new employee recruitment system. To ensure stability and predictability in the recruitment market and provide fair employment opportunities for youth, Samsung plans to continue the new employee recruitment system.
