Gyeonggi-do Operates 'Youth Hotline 1388' 24 Hours During Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will operate the 'Youth Hotline 1388' 24 hours a day even during the Chuseok holiday.
Youth Hotline 1388 provides counseling for youth on various issues ranging from everyday concerns to school dropout, internet and smartphone overdependence, and running away from home. Currently, professional counselors who hold national certification for youth counseling or have a certain period of practical experience in youth counseling welfare work are stationed 24/7 throughout the year to provide counseling support.
In particular, in crisis situations such as when a runaway youth has nowhere to go or requires rescue, emergency intervention services are provided. If necessary, assistance is given in connection with youth shelters. Counseling is available not only for the youth themselves but also for guardians who have concerns about their relationship with their adolescent children.
