[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyun-joo] A wife who swung a kitchen weapon at her husband during an argument over preparing Chuseok food was arrested by the police.
The Busan Northern Police Station announced on the 5th that a woman in her 60s, Ms. A, was booked without detention on charges of special assault.
Ms. A is accused of swinging a weapon at her husband, Mr. B, a man in his 70s, at their home in Buk-gu, Busan, at 11:40 p.m. the previous day, causing injury. At the time, Ms. A, who was cooking, told her husband that she would no longer prepare the Chuseok ancestral ritual food, which led to an argument between the two.
Afterwards, Mr. B, whose wound would not stop bleeding, called 119 and was taken to the hospital for treatment. It is known that Mr. B is currently not seriously injured.
