According to the Presidential Office, President Yoon will receive a briefing on the typhoon's path and impact at the Presidential Office Crisis Management Center in the afternoon, as the typhoon is expected to make landfall on the southern coast of Gyeongnam. He will urge preemptive measures to minimize damage.
The day before, President Yoon, having been informed that Typhoon Hinnamnor is expected to cause direct damage across the country, instructed the Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to establish the highest level of typhoon response, including the preemptive activation of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters. He also received real-time phone reports from Prime Minister Han Duck-soo, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, which is responsible for disaster safety, and the Presidential Office's National Situation Room, emphasizing thorough preparedness.
