Gwangju Chamber of Commerce Donates Scholarship Funds to Care Neighbors' Youth for Chuseok
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry donated 20 million won to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea on the 2nd to support vulnerable groups in celebration of the national holiday Chuseok.
The donation ceremony was held with the attendance of Jung Chang-sun, Chairman of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Park Cheol-hong, Chairman of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea, and others, aiming to support local youth who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Chairman Jung Chang-sun said, “I hope that this scholarship support will provide some help to local youth who find it difficult to continue their studies due to economic hardships, and that they will grow into outstanding talents of the future Gwangju and Jeonnam.” He added, “We will continue to pay attention to vulnerable groups and practice ongoing sharing.”
