Hyundai Motor Company Sold 335,000 Vehicles Domestically and Internationally Last Month, Up 12% Year-on-Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 1st that it sold 334,794 units domestically and internationally last month. This is an 11.6% increase compared to the same period last year and a 1.2% increase compared to the previous month.
In the domestic market, sales decreased by 3.5% during the same period, with 49,224 units sold. The mid-to-large sedan Grandeur was the best-selling passenger car with 4,606 units sold. Among commercial vehicles, the 1-ton truck Porter was the top seller with 7,792 units sold. The premium brand Genesis sold 9,617 units. Genesis sales increased by 15.8% during the same period.
Overseas, 285,570 units were sold, marking a 14.7% increase compared to the same period. Compared to the previous month, sales increased by 4.0%. Last month’s overseas sales volume was the highest monthly figure recorded so far this year. When combined with domestic sales, the total sales volume was the second highest compared to June.
