[2023 Early Admission] Sejong University Establishes Student Record Comprehensive Creative Talent Track
Sejong University will select 1,480 students, accounting for 55.2% of the 2023 academic year recruitment quota, through early admission. For the 2023 academic year, the university has relaxed the minimum CSAT score requirements and introduced a new Creative Talent (Document Type) track in the comprehensive student record screening. The Department of Semiconductor Systems Engineering has been newly established, selecting 32 students through early admission.
In early admission, Sejong University will select 397 students through the student record academic achievement track, 697 through the comprehensive student record screening, 310 through the essay excellence track, and 76 through practical skills and achievements tracks (practical skills excellence, arts and physical education special talents).
The university has integrated the Outstanding Student Record track and the Regional Balance track into the Regional Balance track for the 2023 academic year, selecting 310 students. The restriction on the number of recommendations per high school for the Regional Balance track has been abolished, and selection will be based 100% on student record academic grades. The minimum CSAT score requirements have also been relaxed: for humanities, from a combined grade of 5 or less in two subjects to 6 or less, and for natural sciences, from 6 or less to 7 or less.
The newly established Creative Talent (Document Type) track in the comprehensive student record screening reflects 100% of the documents. The Creative Talent (Interview Type) track selects three times the number of candidates in the first stage through document evaluation and conducts an interview in the second stage.
For the Creative Software Department (Design Innovation Major, Cartoon Animation Tech Major), on the day of the interview, candidates prepare presentation materials on a topic related to major suitability, followed by a topic presentation and a question-and-answer session linked to the comprehensive document evaluation, constituting a text-based interview. For other recruitment units, a general interview based on student records is conducted.
The Equal Opportunity (95 students), Social Contribution and Consideration (30 students), West Sea 5 Islands Students (3 students), and Special Track for Graduates of Specialized High Schools Currently Employed (109 students) reflect 100% of documents without interviews and have abolished self-introduction letters.

The essay tests will be held on November 26 for humanities and November 27 for natural sciences, one week after the CSAT. The minimum CSAT score requirements have been relaxed: for humanities, from a combined grade of 4 or less in two subjects to 5 or less, and for natural sciences, from 5 or less to 6 or less. The essay test for humanities includes questions using passages from Korean language and social studies textbooks, while for natural sciences, math questions (excluding probability and statistics/geometry) are given instead of science questions.
