Grand Hyatt Seoul Launches 'Chukance' Package for Autumn Chuseok Celebration
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] The Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel announced on the 30th that it will offer a ‘Chukangseu’ package, including buffet, gift sets, and room packages, to celebrate the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
The Terrace Buffet at the Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel will showcase various Chuseok dishes from the 9th to the 12th of next month. Traditional Korean foods representing Chuseok, such as songpyeon, various jeon, braised beef short ribs (sogalbijjim), grilled short rib patties (tteokgalbi), barley dried yellow corvina (borigulbi), yakgwa, and dried persimmons (gotgam) will be served.
A gift shop has opened on the hotel lobby floor in celebration of Chuseok. The main focus is on seven types of ‘Chuseok gift sets’ composed of carefully selected ingredients and wines by the hotel’s food and beverage experts. In addition to the existing gift sets, customers can create customized gift sets or purchase single items such as Korean traditional sweets (hangwa) sets, Manuka honey, foie gras, and black truffle sets.

The hotel also introduces the ‘Chilling Autumn’ package. This package, a collaboration between the hotel and Baesangmyeon Brewery, includes one bottle of Neurin Maeul Yakju (slow village medicinal rice wine), one set containing a Korean-style ice bucket called Bingjugi and glasses, and two bags of seaweed crisps (gimbukak).
