[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Donghae City, Gangwon Province, is preparing follow-up legislative strategy measures, such as discovering region-customized specialized industries and reflecting them in various special cases, ahead of the launch of the 'Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province' next year.
According to the city on the 30th, on the 31st, an educational opportunity was provided to all employees to establish the concept, including the introduction of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province adoption process and related bills.
Geum Chang-ho, Distinguished Research Fellow at the Korea Institute of Local Administration, will provide education on the adoption process of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, introduction of related bills, review of local autonomy special case systems, and directions for reviewing business special cases.
Through the education, the city plans to discover special cases reflecting regional characteristics by considering feasibility, urgency, and importance by sector, and submit them to Gangwon Province.
