"77.77% All-Time Highest Vote Share"... Lee Jae-myung Elected as New Leader of the Democratic Party
Supreme Council Members Jeong Cheong-rae, Go Min-jeong, Park Chan-dae, Seo Young-kyo, and Jang Kyung-tae Elected
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] Representative Lee Jae-myung was elected as the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea on the 28th.
The newly elected leader won with 77.77% of the votes in the party leader election held at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena during the regular National Delegate Convention. Candidate Park Yong-jin, who competed against Lee until the end, received 22.23% of the votes.
Lee's vote percentage set a record for the highest vote rate in the history of the Democratic Party.

Jeong Cheong-rae (by vote order), Ko Min-jung, Park Chan-dae, Seo Young-kyo, and Jang Kyung-tae were elected as the party's Supreme Council members. Among the five Supreme Council members, four are classified as pro-Lee Jae-myung faction.
