Hyundai Motor's New Technology Campaign Wins Top Award at Busan International Advertising Festival
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Motor Group announced on the 28th that its new technology campaign video won the Grand Prix of the Year at the 2022 Busan International Advertising Festival.
The video created by the company, titled "Dear My Hero," is the Grand Prix of the Year, selected as the top award among 15 winners from each category through final discussions and voting. Along with the Grand Prix of the Year, the video also received silver awards in three categories: PR, Outdoor Ambient, and Outdoor Transportation.
The company said about this award, "It is the first time a corporation has won the Grand Prix in the public service advertising category, which has mainly been conducted by governments and non-profit organizations, recognizing the positive influence of corporate PR content." They explained, "The public service advertising category is awarded to videos based on human happiness and social responsibility, such as environmental protection, human rights advancement, education, and health improvement."
Released on the company’s YouTube channel in December last year, the video features a sanitation worker who maintains a clean city as the main character. It shows the difficulties faced while working alongside conventional internal combustion engine cleaning trucks and then depicts how hydrogen mobility helps our neighbors. This video also won three main awards at this year’s Red Dot Awards and received an award in the digital category of the Good Advertisement Award chosen by the public in March.
