[Asia Economy Reporter Byun Seon-jin] Kim Su-ji (26) and Seo Yeon-jeong (27) tied for the lead after the second round of the KLPGA Tour High1 Resort Women's Open (total prize money 800 million KRW).

On the morning of the 20th, the remaining matches of the second round of the tournament held at High1 Resort Country Club (par 72) in Jeongseon-gun, Gangwon Province, were completed. Kim Su-ji and Seo Yeon-jeong, who finished the second round with a cumulative score of 6-under-par 138 the previous day, maintained their joint first place. The second round was originally scheduled to end the previous day, but due to severe weather conditions such as wind, rain, and fog, the remaining matches were played on the morning of the 20th.

Kim Su-ji won her first career victory at the KG·Edaily Ladies Open in September last year and went on to win the major tournament, the Hite Jinro Championship, just a month later. She finished the season ranked 7th in prize money (745.12 million KRW) and continues her strong performance this year, aiming for her third KLPGA Tour win.

Seo Yeon-jeong, who debuted in 2014 and has played 228 tournaments, has finished as runner-up four times on the regular tour but is still seeking her first career victory.

Lee Ki-ppeum (28), who led on the first day of the tournament, faltered by losing one stroke with one birdie and two bogeys. Choi Min-kyung (29), Heo Da-bin (24), Yoo Hae-ran (21), and Ahn Sun-ju (35) formed a group tied for third place (5-under-par 139). Park Min-ji (24), aiming for her fourth win of the season, struggled with two birdies and six bogeys, losing four strokes and barely making the cut at a cumulative 2-over-par 146, tied for 48th place. Lim Hee-jeong (22), who was attempting to win the tournament for the third consecutive time, shot 1-over-par 73 and failed to make the cut with a total of 3-over-par 147.
