According to the semi-annual reports disclosed by each company on the 16th, Chairman Chung received a salary of 2 billion KRW from Hyundai Motor and 1.25 billion KRW from Hyundai Mobis as chairman and CEO in the first half of this year. This amount is the same as that of the first half of last year.
Chairman Chung receives salaries from two Hyundai Motor Group affiliates, Hyundai Mobis and Hyundai Motor. Although he holds an executive position at Kia, he does not receive compensation from Kia.

Hyundai Motor explained, "Based on internal standards such as executive salary determination criteria, we comprehensively reflected factors including job position and rank (chairman), length of service, leadership, expertise, company contribution, and talent development," adding, "The total salary was set at 4 billion KRW, and 2 billion KRW was paid from January to June."
