According to Sacheon City, in response to the high water temperature alert from the National Institute of Fisheries Science, they have established a high water temperature countermeasure situation room, formed an emergency duty team, and officially started operations as of the 11th.
Additionally, to respond to fishery disasters such as high water temperatures, a comprehensive plan was established on June 8, including stocking volume surveys and education for fishery workers.
In particular, they are promoting damage prevention measures related to high water temperature occurrences by accelerating the supply of immune boosters to reduce fishery damage, advancing high water temperature response support projects, and strengthening monitoring activities.
The city issued disaster countermeasure orders to aquaculture farmers on July 5 as a preemptive measure, instructing them to thoroughly manage farms by stopping feed supply, supplying liquefied oxygen, and installing shade nets.
This is because it is crucial during high water temperature periods to fully operate response equipment such as oxygen generators and liquefied oxygen supply facilities, and to reduce stress on cultured organisms by adjusting or stopping feeding.
