View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] The Gyeongbuk Office of Education conducted a 'Real-time Industrial Safety and Health Video Training' for approximately 4,500 meal service workers employed at about 1,000 educational institutions and public and private schools in the province over four days: July 27 to 29 and August 9.
Through this real-time video training during the vacation period, 463 schools and a total of 4,322 people fulfilled the legally mandated 6 hours of training under the Industrial Safety and Health Act, accounting for 76.4% of all meal service workers in public and private schools across Gyeongbuk Province.
This training, organized by the Office of Education and conducted with the assistance of instructors from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, was held as a real-time interactive video session in response to the spread of COVID-19, and was evaluated as having alleviated the usual thirst for specialized industrial safety and health education among meal service workers.
Additionally, the training was tailored to address social issues such as the Serious Accident Punishment Act, accident cases within the Gyeongbuk Office of Education, and frequently asked questions about industrial safety and health, drawing great interest from the trainees.
