Ssangyong Motor Launches Special Maintenance Service for Flood-Damaged Vehicles
Providing 40% Discount on Repair Service
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Ssangyong Motor announced on the 9th that it will conduct a ‘Special Maintenance Service for Flood-Damaged Vehicles’ campaign targeting customers whose vehicles were damaged by natural disasters such as localized heavy rain, typhoons, and guerrilla-style downpours.
Accordingly, Ssangyong Motor will operate dedicated flood-damaged vehicle service teams by region within its nationwide service network and establish dedicated workshops to provide special maintenance services for flood-damaged vehicles until October 31. For vehicles without comprehensive insurance, a 40% discount will be applied to the total repair cost (including labor).
In addition, vehicle owners whose cars have been damaged by flooding and who purchase a replacement vehicle from Ssangyong Motor will receive a discount of 200,000 KRW on all models (excluding Torres).
Furthermore, when a disaster or calamity area is declared, Ssangyong Motor will coordinate with local government offices in the affected area to organize joint service teams at nearby A/S networks to provide emergency dispatch and free inspections of flood-damaged vehicles, exchange consumable parts free of charge, and offer emergency start-up services if necessary.
A Ssangyong Motor official urged that if a vehicle has been submerged, starting the engine can cause serious damage to the engine, transmission, and other electrical/electronic components, so it is essential to seek expert assistance or have the vehicle inspected at a nearby service network.
