Gangdong Kyunghee University Hospital Signs Agreement with KT for Digital Transformation of Hospital Operations Using Robots
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] Gangdong Kyung Hee University Hospital announced on the 4th that it has signed a DT (Digital Transformation) business agreement with KT to apply robotic technology in hospital operations.
Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to jointly develop robotic models to automate and intelligentize tasks. In particular, they will identify operational demands in logistics, patient care, and medical support fields, and establish a digital transformation cooperation system utilizing the latest robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data technologies.
As the first phase goal, they will establish a concrete roadmap for digital transformation of hospital operations and apply and verify robot services specialized for inpatient rooms such as room cleaning service, patient meal support, medical supplies delivery, and medical guidance in the second half of this year. Afterwards, they plan to expand the use of robots into specialized medical areas such as medical support and patient care.
