Gyeongbuk Province Holds Hibiscus Evaluation Contest at Forest Environment Research Institute in Gyeongju.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gui-yeol] On the 4th, Gyeongbuk Province held the ‘2022 Gyeongsangbuk-do Mugunghwa Excellent Potted Flower Contest’ at the Gyeongbuk Forest Environment Research Institute in Gyeongju to promote the beauty and excellence of the national flower, Mugunghwa.
The 2nd contest held this year (the first was in 2020) featured 117 Mugunghwa potted flowers carefully cultivated by 13 cities and counties in the province and the Forest Environment Research Institute.
The exhibition runs until the 9th of this month, providing a valuable opportunity to raise awareness among residents about the importance of the national flower.
Professional judges invited from outside strictly evaluated the entries, and the results of this contest selected a total of four awards: one Gold Prize, one Silver Prize, one Bronze Prize, and one Special Prize, all awarded by the Governor.
The excellent works will be submitted and exhibited at this year’s Mugunghwa Excellent Potted Flower Contest hosted by the Korea Forest Service, held in Boryeong, Chungnam, from the 10th to the 15th.
