[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Legoland Korea Resort announced on the 3rd that it will hold an on-site event offering prizes to visitors in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the LEGO Group.
On August 10, all customers using the park or hotel on the day will receive one of five types of Start Packs featuring popular LEGO series such as Jurassic World and Ninjago, given out randomly.
An authentication photo event will also be held for visitors on the day of the event. To participate, visitors must find a Model Citizen, an on-site staff member wearing a 'LEGO 90th Anniversary' commemorative badge within Legoland Park, take an authentication photo with them, upload it to their personal Instagram with the designated hashtag, and then show the post to a staff member at a booth near the park entrance. Participants will receive popular LEGO series products on a first-come, first-served basis.
The first customer to submit the event authentication photo to an on-site staff member will receive the Legoland limited edition series 'Legoland Park.' The second and third place winners will receive the 'Ice Cream Truck Police Chase' and 'Fire Rescue Helicopter' products from the 'LEGO City' series, respectively. Afterwards, 100 people will be given the popular 'Vespa' product from the LEGO Creator series on a first-come, first-served basis.
Phil Roil, President of Legoland Korea Resort, said, "On this meaningful day, we planned an event to give prizes to all visitors for the first time since Legoland opened. We are happy to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the LEGO Group together with Legoland customers. We hope everyone who visits Legoland on this commemorative day shares a true LEGO experience."
