Gyeongsan City, Gyeongbuk, is inspecting facilities and other conditions to prepare for the heatwave to ensure the citizens have a healthy summer.

First, from the 27th to the 29th of last month, inspections were conducted over three days targeting large-scale construction sites such as heatwave shelters, shade structures, and cooling fog systems to check the management status and operational condition of heatwave mitigation facilities.
Additionally, compliance with construction site safety rules and the availability of cooling supplies were thoroughly checked to proactively assess heatwave preparedness.
Furthermore, from the 26th of last month until the 5th of this month, operational management inspections were carried out at senior citizen centers, which serve as rest areas for local elders, in response to heatwaves and the resurgence of COVID-19.
A joint inspection team composed of the Elderly Welfare Team and Senior Center Happiness Helpers visited 387 senior centers across towns, townships, and neighborhoods to check the operation of heating and cooling devices, disinfection measures, and cleanliness.

Moreover, a dedicated team was formed to focus on health-vulnerable groups such as elderly living alone and basic livelihood security recipients, conducting intensive health status and living environment inspections until the 31st of this month.
