NHN Cloud Recruits Cybersecurity Expert Professor Park Won-hyung from Sangmyung University
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] NHN Cloud announced on the 3rd that it has appointed Professor Park Won-hyung of the Department of Information Security Engineering at Sangmyung University as a director to strengthen security.
Professor Park joined NHN Cloud on the 1st and will be responsible for security technology research and external activities targeting public institutions.
Professor Park earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Seoul National University of Science and Technology and completed doctoral courses at Sungkyunkwan University and the University of Tasmania in Australia. In 2013, he established the Department of Cybersecurity at Far East University and served as its head. Since 2020, he has been working at the Department of Information Security Engineering at Sangmyung University, continuously lecturing and researching in the fields of penetration testing and security monitoring for over 10 years.
Additionally, he has diverse practical experience in cybersecurity, having worked at SK Shieldus and the National Cyber Security Center. He has also served as General Secretary, Vice President, and Education Director at the Korea Institute of Information Security & Cryptology, the Korea Convergence Security Association, and the Korea Industrial Security Research Association, respectively, which are known as the top three security societies in Korea. Recently, he demonstrated his expertise in cloud security by receiving the Best Paper Award and Academic Excellence Award from the Ministry of National Defense and the Defense Security Research Institute, respectively, for his papers related to cloud security and Log4j, continuing various academic activities.
