'Hansan' Surpasses 3 Million on 8th Day, Faster Than 'Haeundae'
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The movie "Hansan: Rising Dragon," depicting Admiral Yi Sun-sin's Battle of Hansan, surpassed 3 million viewers on its 8th day of release.
According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticket sales system on the 3rd, "Hansan: Rising Dragon" (directed by Kim Han-min) recorded a cumulative audience of 3,064,785, securing the number one spot at the box office for seven consecutive days.
"Hansan: Rising Dragon" became the only Korean film since "The Outlaws 2" to surpass 3 million viewers after its release. This achievement precedes the 11-day record of the 10-million hit "Masquerade" and the 9-day record of "Haeundae," marking the fastest box office speed since the pandemic, second only to "The Outlaws 2."
