The Daegu District Court, 5th Criminal Division (Presiding Judge Kwon Min-oh), announced on the 1st that it sentenced Mr. A, who was prosecuted for assaulting his wife during a divorce lawsuit (special assault, etc.), to a fine of 7 million won.
According to the court, Mr. A was charged last December at a parking lot in Suseong-gu, Daegu, with pushing and throwing his wife B (in her 30s), who was in the middle of a divorce lawsuit, and damaging the side mirror of Ms. B's vehicle.
Mr. A is also accused of repeatedly moving forward and backward about 5 meters while hanging Ms. B, who climbed onto the hood to stop him from leaving the scene by car.
At the time, Ms. B discovered her husband with a woman suspected to be his mistress inside the car and assaulted the woman, and Mr. A committed the crime after seeing this.
