Incheon Airport Launches Joint Volunteer Group 'ICN V-Ambassador'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 29th that it held the 'Incheon Airport Joint Volunteer Corps Launch Ceremony.'
The name of the Incheon Airport Joint Volunteer Corps is ‘ICN V-Ambassador.’ It signifies that each member represents Incheon Airport as a face and ambassador, spreading positive influence through volunteer activities.
The Incheon Airport Joint Volunteer Corps consists of 50 members selected through recommendations from heads of 21 organizations, including the corporation, Incheon Airport subsidiaries, government agencies, airlines, and duty-free shops. Starting with regular volunteer activities in August, they plan to participate in volunteer work once a month for one year, including improving living environments for vulnerable groups, sharing briquettes, and overseas volunteering.
About 60 people, including Lee Hee-jung, Vice President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, and all volunteer members, attended the launch ceremony. Before the volunteer activities began, they shared major social contribution projects of Incheon Airport, the purpose and detailed activity plans of the volunteer corps, and engaged in collaborative activities to enhance intimacy and participation among members.
The corporation expects that the joint volunteer corps activities will provide comfort and encouragement to the airport and local community, which have been impacted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, and serve as an opportunity for airport workers to communicate and unite.
