Shinhyup Provides Medical Volunteer Service for 1,000 Residents of Jangsu-gun
The Shinhan Social Contribution Foundation announced on the 29th that it conducted medical volunteer services for residents of Jangsu-gun, Jeonbuk.
The medical volunteer service, held from the 25th to this day, was organized by Mugunghwa Shinhan, sponsored by the National Credit Union Federation of Korea and the Shinhan Social Contribution Foundation, and collaborated with Kyung Hee University Medical Volunteer Group Phoenix. A total of about 70 volunteers, including Mugunghwa Shinhan employees and Kyung Hee University medical volunteers, participated to provide free medical treatment to approximately 1,000 residents of Jangsu-gun.
In eight departments including surgery, acupuncture, security nursing, and community care, customized treatments and prescriptions such as acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion therapy, topical treatments, dementia and insomnia treatments, and taping therapy were provided.

Since 2015, the Shinhan Social Contribution Foundation has been conducting biannual traditional Korean medicine volunteer services in summer and winter for residents in vulnerable areas with low medical accessibility such as islands and mountainous regions. To date, it has provided various free traditional Korean medical treatments to 11,173 medically vulnerable people across 12 regions nationwide. A total of 607 volunteers, consisting of Kyung Hee University medical volunteers and Shinhan employees, have participated.
