'Minions 2' Beats 'Alien+In', Ranks 1st... Surpasses 1 Million Viewers

According to the Korea Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 27th, 'Minions 2' attracted 79,222 viewers on the 26th, securing first place at the box office. The cumulative audience since its release on the 20th reached 992,514.
By the morning of the 27th, the film's cumulative audience had reached 1,031,875. This marks the first time in about a year and a half since the release of 'Soul' and 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train' in January last year, and it is the first animated film this year to surpass 1 million viewers.
'Alien+Human,' which was released on the same day as 'Minions 2,' drew 71,696 viewers, dropping to second place. As of that day, 1,067,865 people had watched the film. Directed by Choi Dong-hoon, known for films with over 20 million viewers, the break-even point for this new release is 7.3 million viewers.
