Pachinko's Min Jin Lee Visiting Korea in August, Book Talk at Sejong University
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Lee Min-jin, author of the global bestseller "Pachinko," which depicts the story of a Zainichi Korean family spanning four generations, will visit Korea next month. She is scheduled to meet readers through a book talk.
According to the publisher Influential, Lee Min-jin will meet readers on the 10th of next month at Sejong University Daeyang Hall. There are 2,000 seats available, and applications can be made through Influential's official SNS accounts and online bookstores.
The revised edition of "Pachinko," which had been out of print due to the expiration of rights with the previous publisher, officially went on sale nationwide on the 27th. There have been changes in translation and design.

Influential stated that from the first sentence ("History has forsaken us, but that does not matter"), they aimed to more faithfully convey the original meaning, and sought to preserve the work's characteristic fast-paced writing style. Additionally, to maintain the structure and flow originally intended by the author, they followed the original book's composition of three parts (Part 1 "Hometown," Part 2 "Motherland," Part 3 "Pachinko").
