Bae Hyun-jin, a Supreme Council member of the People Power Party, directly criticized this as a "shameful matter."
On the 25th, Supreme Council member Bae wrote on Facebook, "When we said not to commit the shameless act of having the immediate former minister serve as chairman, he joined as a member instead," adding, "No matter how thick-skinned one is, isn't this a matter that should make both sides feel ashamed?"
She continued, "No matter how much he insists on going to the Legislation and Judiciary Committee himself, I hope the Democratic Party members who emphasized so-called conflict of interest will persuade him to act in accordance with the wisdom and dignity expected of elected public officials," urging that Representative Park's standing committee assignment be changed even now.
On the same day, Cho Soo-jin, also a Supreme Council member of the same party, criticized Park's assignment to the Legislation and Judiciary Committee at the Supreme Council meeting, saying, "It is a blatant intention to self-defend the policies he poorly executed and the massacre of personnel as Minister of Justice."
Cho also condemned Park for being the first questioner in the government questioning session of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration that afternoon, saying, "It is simply outrageous that he steps up to justify his actions against Minister of Justice Han Dong-hoon."
Regarding this, Park said in an interview with CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' that morning, "I do feel a bit sorry for Minister Han. Since he is the very next Minister of Justice after me, it is somewhat embarrassing that he, as an opposition lawmaker, is questioning what I did."
However, he added, "Minister Han has almost entirely denied and severed the legal administration I carried out. I need to ask why that is."
