Malicious Comments on Articles Related to First Lady Kim Geon-hee... 60s Sent to Prosecution

On the 21st, Gunsan Police Station in Jeonbuk announced that they had sent Mr. A (62) to the prosecution without detention on charges of violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation).
Mr. A is suspected of posting malicious comments on internet articles mentioning First Lady Kim in early April. The comments reportedly included defamatory and provocative expressions such as "If you go crazy, go crazy gracefully" and "A specialist in lies and fabricated corruption whenever you open your mouth."
The case arose after the representative of Kim's fan cafe "Geonsarang" reported Mr. A and other malicious commenters.

A Gunsan Police Station official stated, "We judged that there was sufficient evidence against the suspect and referred the case to the prosecution," adding, "The suspect also admitted to the facts."
