HL Clemoove Wins 'Industrial Innovation Technology Award of the Year'
Recognition for Contributions to the Development of 'Junggeori Radar'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] HL Clemoove, an autonomous driving solution specialist company under Halla Group, announced on the 21st that it has won the 'Industrial Innovation Technology Award of the Year.'
HL Clemoove, which received the Ministerial Award in the 'Commercialization Technology' category, was recognized for the independent development and commercialization of mid-range radar as well as for popularizing 'Level Two' as a leading autonomous driving company. The Industrial Innovation Technology Award is given by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy to companies with outstanding achievements in three national project fields (new technology, commercialization technology, and clean energy technology).
HL Clemoove's mid-range radar was first developed domestically in 2018. The representative functions of mid-range radar include AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking), which enables preceding vehicle detection, maintaining driving distance, and collision mitigation/avoidance. Its size is smaller than half that of long-range radar. Advanced signal processing technology supplemented by software is also applied. HL Clemoove's goal is to achieve a cumulative production volume of seven million units of mid-range radar by the end of this year.
