Korea GM Suspends Operations at Changwon and Bupyeong 2 Plants Due to Parts Suppliers' Delivery Refusal
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Korea GM has halted operations at its Changwon plant in Gyeongnam and Bupyeong 2 plant in Gyeonggi due to supply refusal from parts supplier Irae AMS.
According to the automotive industry on the 20th, Korea GM stopped the production lines at Changwon and Bupyeong 2 plants starting early last week due to parts supply issues.

Irae AMS is reportedly refusing to supply parts while demanding a price increase. Last year, the Changwon plant produced about 30,000 units of Spark, and the Bupyeong 2 plant produced about 40,000 units of Malibu and Trax respectively.
