[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] On the afternoon of the 20th, Kim Sung-han, Director of the National Security Office, met with Philip Goldberg, the newly appointed U.S. Ambassador to Korea, at the Yongsan Presidential Office.
The Presidential Office stated in a press release that "Director Kim expressed his hope that efforts by both sides to realize the vision of a global comprehensive strategic alliance, agreed upon by the two leaders during the Korea-U.S. summit in May, will accelerate further."
Director Kim also urged, "Please put effort not only in the traditional areas of diplomacy and security but also in economic security and communication with the people."
