View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The SW-Centered University Project Group at Dongmyung University signed a corporate-friendly SW talent development and field training exchange agreement with COCONE V Busan branch at the Dongmyung University Student Welfare Center on the 19th.
COCONE V is a Japan-based game company headquartered in Fukuoka. It began operating NHN Japan's online games and service center in 2009 and acquired NHN's Japan Hangame in 2019.
After the acquisition, it operates a game portal called ‘Hange’ and more than 100 games are serviced on COCONE V’s ‘Hange’. The company is a mid-sized enterprise with about 1,000 employees.
According to the agreement, COCONE V will closely cooperate with Dongmyung University’s Department of Game Engineering and AI Convergence College departments for SW talent development, industry-academia joint projects for mutual growth, field training operations, and the development of joint educational programs for corporate-friendly game and SW developer training.
Through this agreement, Dongmyung University’s Department of Game Engineering will be able to cultivate practical, high-level game professionals in collaboration with a mid-sized Japanese game company.

The COCONE V Busan branch also established an industry-academia cooperation foundation to secure excellent local SW talent and grow into Busan’s representative game company.
