Gwangyang Police Station Strengthens Traffic Accident Prevention Activities for Large Vehicles
For Large Vehicles Such as Dump Trucks, Churella, and Containers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] The Gwangyang Police Station in Jeollanam-do (Chief Jang Jin-young) announced on July 12 that, in relation to the enforcement of the Road Traffic Act, it will strengthen traffic accident prevention activities targeting large vehicles such as dump trucks, trailers, and containers, due to the high volume of large vehicle traffic in the area.
In this regard, the police plan to send traffic accident prevention letters to local freight transport companies, conduct safe driving education by visiting construction sites, operate mobile unmanned cameras intensively in areas prone to speeding by large vehicles, and focus on cracking down on traffic violations such as signal violations and designated lane violations in industrial complexes and the Taegum area.
Additionally, in cooperation with the road management authorities, they will promote the reinforcement of traffic safety facilities and the installation of unmanned enforcement cameras to secure drivers' visibility.
Chief Jang Jin-young stated, "To prevent traffic accidents, we will implement various policies reflecting regional characteristics and focus on ensuring the safety of the precious citizens of Gwangyang."
