Toss Securities Appoints CTO Oh Chang-hoon as Next CEO
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Myunghwan] Toss Securities has appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Oh Changhoon, who oversees development, as the next CEO.
On the 19th, Toss Securities announced, "Following the wishes of current CEO Park Jaemin, the CEO contract will be terminated after this term." CEO Park will step down upon the expiration of his term on the 22nd.
Born in 1981, CEO Park previously served as a team leader at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and head of the Coupang Marketplace division. Since 2017, he has been the Chief Business Officer at Viva Republica, which operates Toss. In 2019, he moved to become the CEO of Toss Securities.
Oh Changhoon, the newly appointed CEO and CTO, joined Viva Republica in 2017 after working at Naver and GS Home Shopping. He was an early member of Toss Securities and led the development of securities trading services.
