[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon announced on the 20th that he will attend the opening ceremony of the theater 'QUAD' at the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture Daehakro Center on the 20th.
'QUAD' is a black box theater located on the basement 1st and 2nd floors of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture Daehakro Center. It is a flexible theater (with seating capacity from 210 to 258 seats) where the stage and audience seating can be changed according to the performance, allowing various genres such as theater, music, dance, and traditional arts to be performed without being constrained by space or format.
The name of the performance venue, 'QUAD,' refers to a square-shaped black box space. It aims for infinite possibilities to attempt new experiments beyond the physical constraints of stage and audience seating.
Mayor Oh will attend the unveiling ceremony held in the courtyard on the 1st floor of the Daehakro Center, followed by the opening ceremony held in the basement 2nd floor 'QUAD.' Mayor Oh will deliver a congratulatory speech expressing his hope that 'QUAD' will become a catalyst for opening a new era in Daehakro.
