[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A member of the US Forces Korea who caused a disturbance after being refused entry into a club was apprehended by the police.
On the 18th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that they arrested a USFK serviceman in his 20s, identified as A, on the spot the previous day on charges of property damage.
According to the police, A is accused of dropping and damaging a device placed at the entrance of a club in Seogyo-dong, Seoul, around 6:20 a.m. the previous day after being denied entry. The device is known to be a fingerprint identification machine.
Subsequently, the police responded to a report and arrested A on the spot around 6:35 a.m.

A police official stated, “After arresting A, he was released and handed over to the US military police. We plan to summon him at a later date to continue the investigation.”
