Tilda, created in collaboration with designer Park Yoonhee, was recognized for the clothing and ideas showcased at the New York Fashion Week in February. LG is making its presence felt in the global market just two years after establishing its AI research institute.
According to LG, on the 15th (local time), Tilda received the gold and silver awards in the 'The Future Now' category at the New York Festival. This was the result of winning against entries from over 60 countries worldwide. The New York Festival is recognized as one of the world's top three advertising festivals alongside Cannes Lions and Clio Awards. The festival organizers created the 'The Future Now' category to highlight cases where the latest technologies, including AI, have created unprecedented innovations that engage customers. This award holds significant meaning for LG, which is accelerating its 'customer experience management.'

This campaign documented the production process of the 'Gredious by Tilda - Flowers Blooming on Venus' collection, which was created and presented in February with designer Park. Gredious is Park's fashion brand.
Notably, this campaign marks the first time an AI artist's work has won an award. The campaign was highly praised for addressing the climate change crisis through a new collaboration between an AI artist and a fashion designer. Tilda is part of a project to create 'expert AI' that communicates and collaborates with humans. This award aligns perfectly with the purpose behind LG's creation of Tilda.
Tilda draws attention as it is equipped with LG's ultra-large multimodal AI brain, Exaone. Exaone is LG AI Research Institute's ambitious project, which has been gaining international recognition, having been showcased at the world's most prestigious conference, the 'International Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR),' on the 19th of last month. Equipped with the Exaone brain, Tilda can learn, think, and judge independently, understand the context of language, and create unprecedented new images. The more than 200 outfits presented at New York Fashion Week were made using over 3,000 images and patterns created by Tilda under the theme 'Flowers Blooming on Venus.'

Baek Gonghoon, head of LG AI Research Institute, said, "Winning at the New York Festival recognized LG Exaone's technological prowess and creativity, as well as the collaborative potential between AI humans and humans." He added, "We will attempt various forms of collaboration so that customers can experience LG AI technology more familiarly in the future."
LG believes that Tilda has proven to be an excellent 'professional creative partner' that maximizes human creativity and potential through AI. Moving forward, LG plans to expand creative collaborations with humans in fields such as eco-friendly fashion, art, and music, with Tilda serving as an AI artist communicating with the environmentally conscious 'Generation Z.'
