North Korea Fires Multiple Rocket Artillery for Two Consecutive Days
[Asia Economy Yang Nak-gyu, Military Specialist Reporter] North Korea fired multiple rocket launchers for two consecutive days.
According to military authorities on the 13th, it is known that they detected a trajectory presumed to be from a multiple rocket launcher fired by North Korea into the West Sea on the morning of the 11th.
North Korea also fired multiple rocket launchers into the West Sea on the 10th. Analysts suggest that North Korea's recent show of force is a low-intensity military demonstration aimed at the joint exercises conducted by the South Korea-US F-35A stealth fighters over the Korean Peninsula. The US Air Force's F-35A visited the Korean Peninsula for the first time in 4 years and 7 months since December 2017.

The multiple rocket launchers recently fired by North Korea are known to be conventional multiple rocket launchers with shorter flight ranges and smaller calibers than the 600mm super-large multiple rocket launcher (KN-25). The 240mm multiple rocket launcher, with a maximum range of about 70 km, is not a ballistic missile but poses a threat to the Seoul metropolitan area from the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) area.
