[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The anthology album 'Proof' by the group BTS entered the Billboard main album chart 'Billboard 200' for the fourth consecutive week.
According to Billboard on the 12th (local time), 'Proof' ranked 17th on the latest chart.
'Proof' ranked 1st on the 'World Albums' chart, 5th on both the 'Top Album Sales' and 'Top Current Album Sales' charts, and 11th on both the 'TasteMaker Albums' and 'Canadian Albums' charts.
The collaboration song 'Left and Right' by member Jungkook and American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth ranked 47th on the Billboard main singles chart 'Hot 100', marking its second consecutive week on the chart.
J-Hope's solo song 'MORE' entered the chart at 82nd place. 'MORE' is ranked 1st on the 'World Digital Song Sales', 2nd on both the 'Digital Song Sales' and 'Alternative Digital Song Sales', 6th on the 'Hot Alternative Songs', 7th on the 'Canadian Digital Song Sales', 9th on the 'Rock Songs', 11th on the 'Alternative Streaming Songs', 12th on the 'Billboard Global (excluding U.S.)', 15th on the 'Global 200', and 75th on the 'Canadian Hot 100'.
BTS's popularity continues in Japan as well. 'Dynamite' has been streamed over 600 million times according to Japan's Oricon.
According to the latest chart released by Oricon on the 13th (dated July 18), 'Dynamite', released by BTS in August 2020, ranked 16th on the 'Weekly Streaming Ranking' with 3,782,203 weekly streams.
The cumulative streams of 'Dynamite' reached 600,126,000, making BTS the second artist in Oricon Streaming Ranking history and the first male artist to surpass 600 million streams, setting a great record.
Previously, 'Dynamite' debuted at 3rd place on the Oricon Weekly Streaming Ranking dated August 31, 2020, and rose to 1st place on the following week's chart (dated September 7, 2020).
Oricon explained, "'Dynamite' ranked 1st on the Weekly Streaming Ranking for a total of 10 weeks and recorded over 10 million weekly streams for 8 consecutive weeks. Since its first chart entry, it has remained in the top 30 for 99 consecutive weeks up to the latest chart dated July 18," highlighting its long-term success.
