Sejong-si, Adjustment of B5 Trunk Rapid Bus Route and Schedule
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 13th that it will adjust the route and schedule of the internal circulation trunk bus rapid transit (BRT) auxiliary line B5.
The B5 route and schedule adjustments will take effect from the 15th. The interval between buses will be shortened from the existing 20 to 40 minutes to 15 to 25 minutes, and the weekday operating hours, previously from 7:05 AM to 8:10 PM, will be extended from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with weekend service also starting.
With the route adjustment, B5 will change from the current 'Sejong Terminal~Jongchon-dong~Areum-dong~Nuri-dong~Sodam-dong~Boram-dong~Sejong Terminal' section to 'Areum-dong~Dodam-dong~Bangok-dong~Jiphyeon-dong~Sodam-dong~Daepyeong-dong~Sejong Terminal.'
In particular, the city will also expand transfer convenience by improving accessibility to trunk bus rapid transit routes.
This route adjustment reflects the fact that the B5 route overlaps about 80% with the B0 route and that there has been a rapid increase in demand for the establishment of trunk bus rapid transit routes passing through the 4th living zone and Jeoljaero.
