eSports 'Incheon Challenge Cup' on 16-17... 16 Teams from Korea, China, Japan, and Taiwan Clash
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] The professional tournament 'Incheon Challenge Cup' of the '2022 Incheon eSports Challenge' will be held on the 16th and 17th.
This is an eSports league featuring PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, one of the biggest domestic game hits, hosted by Incheon City and organized by Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP).
All matches will be held online, with 16 professional teams representing Korea, China (including Hong Kong), Japan, and Taiwan competing for the championship trophy.
The total prize money is 80 million KRW, including 40 million KRW for the winner, 25 million KRW for the runner-up, 10 million KRW for third place, and 5 million KRW for MVP.
Six Korean teams participating include Kwangdong Freecs, DWG KIA, Danawa e-sports, GHIBLI E-Sports, Gen.G, and others. Additionally, four teams from China, three from Japan, and three from Taiwan will compete.
All matches can be viewed on AfreecaTV, Twitch, Naver TV, and YouTube. Professional commentators such as Park Sanghyun, Shin Jungmin, and Kim Jisoo will participate in the broadcasts.
