[Asia Economy Culture Young Intern Reporter] Three gang members who assaulted a teenager trying to leave a violent organization have been arrested by the police.
The Jeonbuk Provincial Police Agency's Violent Crime Investigation Unit announced that they have detained gang member A (23) on charges of joint assault under the Act on the Punishment of Violent Acts, and are investigating B (19) and C (17) who were also involved.
They are accused of assaulting and threatening the victim D (a teenager) at a lodging facility in Songhak-dong, Iksan, around 8 p.m. on the 6th, because D attempted to leave the organization.
The police apprehended them after receiving intelligence about the group assault.

A police official stated, "We are also investigating whether there are additional victims or other gang members involved in the crime."
