US CBS reported that the number of robbery incidents in Southern California on Monday, July 11, which signifies Seven Eleven, increased to six cases.
Earlier that day, the police briefing revealed that shootings took place at four Seven Eleven stores in Southern California cities including Riverside, Santa Ana, Brea, and La Habra. The consecutive shootings caused 2 deaths and 3 injuries.
Subsequently, robbery incidents were confirmed at two Seven Eleven stores located in Upland and Ontario. However, no shootings occurred at these stores, and there were no injuries. CBS reported that it has not been confirmed whether these crimes were committed by the same individual involved in the shooting incidents.
July 11 is the day Seven Eleven celebrates its company brand, distributing its private brand (PB) beverage "Slurpee" for free at stores nationwide. Seven Eleven expressed condolences to the victims and their families in a statement.
