Hyundai Motor's First '7000-Unit Sales Master' Emerges
Anjung Branch Director of Sales Yang Kyun Lee
Sets a Major Record After 32 Years with the Company
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hyundai Motor Company has produced its first-ever '7000-unit Sales Master' by achieving a cumulative car sales volume of 7,000 units.
Hyundai announced on the 10th that Sales Manager Yanggyun Lee of the Anjung Branch (located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province) reached a cumulative sales total of 7,000 vehicles as of the closing date on the 29th of last month, earning him the title of '7000-unit Sales Master.' Lee joined Hyundai Motor in 1990 and achieved this remarkable milestone after 32 years of working in sales.
The title 'Sales Master' is the highest honor awarded to outstanding sales employees at Hyundai sales branches who surpass cumulative sales of 5,000 units. Lee had already earned the title in 2014 after reaching 5,000 sales.
Lee expressed, “I consider it an immense honor to be the first at Hyundai Motor to achieve cumulative sales of 7,000 units,” and added, “I am grateful to all the customers who supported and encouraged me, my beloved family, and my colleagues and seniors at the branch.”
He continued, “I used to say as a habit that my goal before retirement was to reach 7,000 cumulative sales, and now that I have achieved that goal, I want to create precious moments with customers every moment, thinking that the history of Yanggyun Lee is the history of Hyundai Motor.”
It is also noteworthy that the 7,000th vehicle purchased by Lee’s customer was the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle Nexo. Customer Yeonsang Wang, who bought the 7,000th vehicle, said, “Whenever I visited the branch because I was interested in a vehicle, Lee was always there and greeted me warmly regardless of whether I decided to buy or not,” adding, “This is the third vehicle I have purchased from Manager Lee.”
He added, “I introduce Manager Lee to acquaintances whenever they need to buy a car,” and explained, “Various tax benefits, a long driving range of over 600 km, and a short charging time of under 5 minutes were reasons for choosing the Nexo.”
Hyundai operates various reward programs such as sales honor awards, national sales champions, and The Class Awards to encourage employees who do their best at sales sites nationwide and to promote healthy sales competition.
