[Asia Economy Reporter Noo Rae] ○…LIV Golf, sponsored by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), has announced plans to file a lawsuit against the DP World Tour (formerly the European Tour).
The UK Telegraph reported on the 4th (Korean time) that "Players who were disciplined by the DP World Tour and barred from participating in the Scottish Open due to joining LIV Golf are expected to take the matter to court." Sixteen DP World Tour players who participated in the first LIV Golf Invitational have submitted a petition by mail to the DP World Tour office, requesting the lifting of the ban. If the sanctions are not lifted, they intend to proceed with legal action.
