Gwangju Seo-gu to Hold Public Lecture on Child and Adolescent Mental Health on the 13th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim I-gang) announced on the 4th that it will hold a public lecture at the Gwangju 5·18 Education Center on the 13th for about 100 local teachers and parents to help the mental health of children and adolescents.
This public lecture was prepared to help live healthily in the post-COVID-19 era based on the emotional development process by age group of children and adolescents.
The lecture will invite a pediatric and adolescent psychiatrist as an instructor and will cover ▲Lecture 1: The impact of COVID-19 on our children ▲Lecture 2: Wise coping during the COVID-19 period.
Anyone interested in the mental health of children and adolescents can participate, and registration is available by applying to the Mental Health Team of the Seo-gu Health Life Support Center by 6 p.m. on the 12th. The lecture fee is free.
An official from Seo-gu said, "Through this lecture, we hope to understand the various mental health impacts COVID-19 has had on children and adolescents and provide an opportunity to cope wisely."
Meanwhile, Seo-gu operates various educational programs such as peer relationship improvement programs, self-esteem enhancement and emotional management programs, and school violence prevention education to help understand mental health and support healthy growth of children.
