View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Sampyo Industry announced on the 29th that it has agreed to demolish the Sampyo Remicon factory in Seongsu-dong on August 15.
The Sampyo Industry Seongsu factory was originally scheduled to be demolished by the end of June. However, due to demands from Remicon mixer truck owners to guarantee their livelihoods, related work has been delayed since the dismantling of Batch Plant No. 5 in June.
In a statement released that day, Sampyo Industry said, "We have made responsible efforts to fulfill our demolition promise," adding, "We have recently finalized discussions on workforce reassignment to secure jobs for truck owners and agreed to demolish the factory after business hours on August 15."

Furthermore, the company expressed deep gratitude to the officials of Seoul City and Seongdong-gu who actively cooperated during the consultation process, stating, "Sampyo Industry will prioritize safety management and do its utmost to ensure the demolition of the Seongsu factory is completed without any setbacks."
