Daejeon City Provides Temporary Emergency Living Support Fund for Low-Income Households
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City will provide temporary emergency living support funds to low-income households in the region.
The city announced on the 23rd that the "Temporary Emergency Living Support Fund for Low-Income Households" will be distributed from the 27th of this month via the Ontong Daejeon anonymous prepaid card.
The recipients include basic livelihood security beneficiaries (living, medical, housing, education) as of the 29th of last month, legally designated near-poor classes, and single-parent families receiving child-rearing support.
The city plans to provide the temporary emergency living support funds differentially according to eligibility and household size. The support fund will be given once to reduce the living burden borne by low-income households due to rapid inflation and to increase their consumption capacity.
The payment amounts for basic (living, medical) beneficiaries are ▲ 400,000 KRW for 1 person ▲ 650,000 KRW for 2 persons ▲ 830,000 KRW for 3 persons ▲ 1,000,000 KRW for 4 persons ▲ 1,160,000 KRW for 5 persons ▲ 1,310,000 KRW for 6 persons ▲ 1,450,000 KRW for 7 or more persons.
Basic (housing, education) beneficiaries, near-poor classes, and single-parent families receiving child-rearing support will receive differential payments of ▲ 300,000 KRW for 1 person ▲ 490,000 KRW for 2 persons ▲ 620,000 KRW for 3 persons ▲ 750,000 KRW for 4 persons ▲ 870,000 KRW for 5 persons ▲ 980,000 KRW for 6 persons ▲ 1,090,000 KRW for 7 or more persons.
The issued Ontong Daejeon cards will be distributed at administrative welfare centers after prior notice and must be used by the end of December this year.
