Booyoung Group Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for 'Ujeong Cambodia School'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Seoyul] Booyoung Group announced that it held a groundbreaking ceremony for the 'Woojeong Cambodia School' within Booyoung Town in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on the 22nd.
The event was attended by Booyoung Group Chairman Lee Joong-geun, Hang Chun Naron, Cambodia's Minister of Education, Park Heung-kyung, the Korean Ambassador to Cambodia, as well as about 200 local students, residents, and Korean expatriates.
The 'Woojeong Cambodia School,' located within Booyoung Town in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, is planned to be built with a total floor area of 15,475㎡, consisting of three buildings with five floors, including a daycare center, kindergarten, and elementary, middle, and high schools, accommodating approximately 1,800 students in 71 classrooms.
Booyoung Town in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, is planned to have a total of 15,000 apartment units, and currently, construction of a residential-commercial complex including 1,474 apartment units has been completed and is scheduled for sale.

Hang Chun Naron, Cambodia's Minister of Education, said, "We are grateful to Booyoung Group for contributing to the improvement of living conditions and the establishment of educational infrastructure in Cambodia through the construction of a large school within Booyoung Town."
